Michael Reid
Pantry Operations Director. S.F./Marin Food Bank and Food Runners liaison.
Responsible for the day-to-day running of The Food Pantry. Self-proclaimed raconteur, bassist in the odd local bands here and there, Manager of various Bay Area record stores, and Booker Promoter. Writer on genre film and obscure music. A chance meeting led Michael to The Food Pantry at the end of 2003. He quickly became the right hand of Sara Miles, and discovered that helping others is more rewarding than helping one’s self.
Randall Bowman
Director. Pantry Chef. Liaison between The Food Pantry and St. Gregory’s Episcopal Church.
For 45 years I wore a hat as an elementary educator, (from the Latin word; educere-to lead forth). I was a classroom teacher of young children in schools in: New Orleans, New York City, and San Francisco. As I approached retirement age I worried about my identity: who was I without my kids and classroom? Then, while volunteering at The Food Pantry and helping Sara Miles prepare a home cooked meal for our volunteers, she handed me my new hat. Some people from the east coast had read Sara’s book, Take This Bread and had come to St. Gregory to see for themselves. Sara introduced me as, “Here is Randy Bowman, he feeds people.” So here I am…from Leader to Feeder.
When you have more than you need BUILD a longer table, not a higher wall! Peace On Earth & Food For All.

James White
Director and Co-Treasurer

James has been a resident of San Francisco for 34 years and has been actively buying and selling real estate in the San Francisco Bay Area since 1978. James loves to hike and would be happy to point out some excellent hiking trails nearby.
Stephanie Jolluck
Director and Photographer
Stephanie is a social entrepreneur & photographer who moved to San Francisco in 2023 after 25 years working in Guatemala with indigenous Mayan women's cooperatives on a line of lifestyle goods that were created with Fair Trade practices. It was serendipitous for her to discover that The Food Pantry was less than a block from her new home; prior to her relocation she had hoped to find a place to volunteer and engage her love of helping others, while also using her Spanish and photography skills. She is inspired daily by the diversity, color, and charm of San Francisco and enjoys strolling the streets capturing the city's soul with her camera. Exploring the breathtaking hills, coast, and forests of the Bay Area also captivate her and her photography.
The Ven. Margaret Dyer-Chamberlain
Board member
Reverend Margaret Dyer-Chamberlain was born and raised in The Episcopal Church, and has participated in either Episcopal or United Church of Christ congregations all of her life. She is a graduate of Smith College and the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy. Margaret was ordained as a deacon in the Diocese of California in June 2013 and served as archdeacon from 2016-2018. Her career has been primarily in higher education; she is employed full-time as Associate Vice Provost for Student Affairs at Stanford University. She is married to Page Chamberlain and they have two adult children (Sam age 35 and Forrest age 34), and live with a quirky and loving rescue dog named Zilly.
Margaret was drawn to the Diaconate over a long period of discernment and social ministry work, first working with Vietnamese refugees and assisting with their resettlement in the US, later volunteering for a period of over 10 years with Habitat for Humanity in the Mississippi Delta, and then as a volunteer chaplain with Sojourn Chaplaincy at San Francisco General Hospital.
Margaret’s present ministries include community gardening work — as a founding member of The Free Farm until its closing; currently working in the St. Mark’s, Little Red Hen, and Diamond Heights median gardens. With a group of colleagues at Stanford called “the sewing circle” she donated baby blankets on a monthly basis to the Labor and Delivery unit at San Francisco General. During the COVID pandemic, the circle’s blankets have gone to COVID patients and the group also creates cloth masks. She serves as a board member of the Food Pantry at St. Gregory of Nyssa Episcopal Church and is co-chair of Diocal’s Commission on Ministry. She currently serves as Deacon at St. Aidan’s Episcopal Church.
Annie Reid
Director and Treasurer
Annie earned a B.A. in psychology from the University of California, Berkeley. Annie has been a resident of San Francisco since moving here from Hong Kong at the age of 2, and loves the City’s spirit of openness, of camaraderie, and especially its year-round mild temperatures — having little tolerance for temperatures below 50° F and over 75° F. In her free time, Annie loves traveling the world with her best friend and husband, cuddling up with their fur baby, and enjoying buzzy San Francisco restaurants with friends.
