Our colleagues and friends
VICTORIA DER worked with us as one of the San Francisco Food Bank’s representatives tasked with helping support neighborhood-based food pantries around the city. We just heard that she’s leaving SFFB for another nonprofit, and we’re sad to see her go, but filled with gratitude for her time with us. She writes:
“In the past months you have shown and taught me so much. For example, I didn’t know that people could be so polite when talking about a box of mold delivered to your doorstep. I also didn’t know what it looked like for someone to genuinely smile when someone was yelling at them. Your persistence and joy has modeled for me the type of character I want to bring to my every day transactions, and I sincerely thank you for the learning.”
May Virginia continue to share her warmth, expertise and common sense with all those working to feed the people!
